I'm in the market/need JD 1010 diesel engine blocks to rebuild. Bare crack free blocks preferred .

The one is cracked above the main bearing journals this has been welded by the/a previous owner. The other is cracked clear through the journal itself. However both are cracked on the opposite side from the oil passages. I was wondering if it was a good idea to try and run these blocks? Or try to fi...

John Deere 1010 diesel block cracked journals
So i bought a pair of 1010's a crawler loader w/hoe and the other has a six way. Long story short, both blocks are cracked at the journals. Is this fixable? Or am I going to have to find two replacement blocks?
