Gentlemen, any help would be great. Rather pressing issue as I was supposed to transition the dozer over to a logging lot. Any help or suggestions would be great!

Willie b thanks. I love in Amish country along the eastern shore of Lake ontario. The Amish folks out this way use all horse drawn equipment. The only engines I know of them using is for saw mills and occasionally a well pump during drought times. As for my situation, I already have a swivel hitch w...

Farm attachments for a 1981 450c
Gentleman, I've slowly gotten in to keeping animals and agriculture. I am looking to up my production for my personal needs. I have thought of getting attachments for my 530 clark bobcat, but sometimes I lean towards my 450c crawler instead. I'm thinking of brush hogs, tillers and stuff like that......

450c hauling
howdy dozer friends. was wondering if I could get some advice here on hauling my 450 C. I only need to go a few miles and have a 10000 GVW trailer. they are local miles and was wondering if the trailer would be ok. I know I am overloading by at least 5000 pounds. any thoughts? Thanks in advance

Thanks again guys... My pins are loose on my front end but that's what you vet with an 81 dozer that most likely has original pins. Recently logged 4 white pines for siding lumber. All ranged between 24 and 28 inches for about 30' up. Have a lead on some loving for a neighbor so just wanted to be su...

Thanks for the replies guys. I think I understand, but just for the record, I have my shifter to the left of me and it has R,N,H,and L. And I do have to clutch and come to stop to reverse. Paul caught my eye with his comment regarding the blade capabilities. Should I not be chaining and dragging my ...

looseness in front blade and pistons
Have had my '81 450c for 5 years now with putting maybe 150 hours on it. My 6-way blade has had an inch or so of play in all directions when up off the ground and moved by hand with good force. Obviously bushings and pins are worn. My down pressure is still good and maneuverability is better than de...

high temp trans fluid
1981 450c... Noticed today after about 2+ hours of running her above 1500 rpms that my trans fluid gauge was going in to the red. Is this most likely an indication of needing to replace fluid? Thanks in advance for any replies[/quote]
