There is no doubt that pushing over trees could get dngerous in a hurry. I have not tried anything over about 6 or 7 inches in diameter. Based on my experience so far, any bigger than that and I will cut it down first and then deal with the stump. I had a friend of mine build me an attachment for ge...

1010 Crawler Loader For Sale

I have decided to sell my 1010 so that I can move up to a 450 or something similar. It has a new undercarriage and runs good (but with a lot of blowby). Send me a message or call 704-517-2539 if you would like more info. I am located near Charlotte, NC.

It sounds like having power shift is the next best thing to having hydrostatic drive. I was working with a friend of mine last weekend who has a Bobcat T250. I was amazed at just how quick he was able to work with it. Having the ability to almost instantly go from dig speed to full speed makes a big...

There is always a tradeoff, isn't there!

Pardon my ignorance here, but exactly what is "power shift" and what is the benefit?

Should I upgrade from 1010 to 450?

I am thinking of selling my 1010 and buying a 450. I have a couple of acres of woods to clear and the 1010 just is not very effective at digging stumps. When I am done clearing, I want to move a lot of dirt around the property. So will a 450 be much more effective than the 1010? There is a 450B for ...

What type of oil do I use in reverser

I have a late model 1010 with reverser and the book says to use type A automatic transmission fluid or Deere type 303. I have never heard of type A fluid. Is that equivalent to or can you use another type of automatic transmission fluid?

That's what I was afraid of. Looks like I will be pulling the final drive off. Makes me wonder how long its been like that. If it was put back on wrong one would think that whoever put it on would have pulled it right back off when they realized it did not work properly. Thanks for your help.

twisted brake band

I opened the access cover today to see if I could correct the poor left steering by adjusting the brake and to my surprise when I looked in I saw that the brake band is twisted. The lining (which I can now see) looks pretty good so I think that if I can get the band back where it belongs my steering...
