I have owned the 440 for 7 years and I would not shift without the clutch. However what happened before is an unknown. The reverser just quit did not feel as though the clutch was slipping. So now I must break it down to see whats what?

Reverser Only Works In Reverse

My JD 440 ICD Crawler. Adjusted the forward clutch, the lever tighten up but still no go. It acts more like it is not all the way clear of the reverse position and not traveling all the way into forward position. Questions would be: Must I break it down to fix? and will using Reverse - Reverse to go...
