I welded on new grouser bars more than 10 years ago on a 350 dozer, they've held up fine, ended up with 1.5" height after the new bars were welded on, hardly any noticeable wear and the machine don't slip even in liquid slop, I'd swear it paddles once you get in deep also helps chop up sod real good...
