Re: 350C steering brake band

Well, time to eat some crow.... the band was out of adjustment because I installed something incorrectly. Not sure what it was but it is fixed . I pulled the final back off and inspecting the brake anchor I didn't notice anything out of whack. I took all the parts in the shop and assembled the band ...

Re: 350C steering brake band

I checked my manual and it is TM1115. I made adjustments per the manual and it didnt change things. if i were to put this back tyogehter i would be out of adjustment very quickly. the rear pawl pin is about 1/4" from the front of the elongated hole in the mount. pulling on teh brake brings it within...

Re: 350C steering brake band

Thanks Leonard, I did see that the right side thread is flush with the yoke and the left side has 1 thread visible so it is out further but not by much. And I read in the forums just what you had stated that most guys were finding the linings to be thicker not less
Thanx

Re: Water in oil

All back together and runs real nice. #3 cylinder was completely engulfed with "muck" in the water and had cavitation holes in the liner. New liner and rings and a new set of injectors and this ol 350c is ready to go back to the swamp....

Water in oil

Anti-freeze to be exact. I posted in show and tell a few weeks back about a 350c wide track that I bought at auction, online, accidentally. I was really interested in a mini ex that was selling after this so I thought I would experiment with the proxi-bid process on this JD (first time bidding on pr...

Re: LGP tracks and then some

Confirmed it today, the water in the crankcase is green... There is a reason people take equipment to auctions. Guess I'm doing an In frame this summer...

Re: LGP tracks and then some

Can't smell that it's antifreeze but the radiator level is low and it looks like a milkshake in the crankcase so I'm afraid it's got a leak. Gonna change the oil and filter and run it a bit. I have a coolant system pump somewhere hopefully I can find it and pump up the radiator and see if it leaks d...

Re: LGP tracks and then some

Yup they are 33" pads, steers good right but something must be wrong with left brake it is weak and does not turn well left. Was going to play with it more but found water in the engine oil so I shut it down to investigate that issue

LGP tracks and then some

Just picked up this 350c and cannot believe how wide these tracks are . Measure 8' 3" to the outside. Seems more like a snow cat then a dozer with rippers. Anyone got info on these..
