The verdict is in, bad barring in the transmission. Had them all replaced ($3300).
Almost doubled the cost of the loader.

Is the countershaft in the reverser?
This noise is coming from the very back of the loader.

350 screaching noise in reverse

I have a straight 350 loader (reverser) that has developed a metal on metal screech only in reverse. The noise is speed dependent, not RPM and seems to be coming from the rear. There is no noise in any forward speed, it is most noticeable in first gear, less in second and third. Any guesses on what ...

350 Starter

I have a 350 loader with a starter problem. The battery cable came off the solenoid, shorted and melted the connector. My problem is that I can’t get to it. The solenoid is under the starter. Additionally it is currently parked about a foot away from a shed wall. If I tow it out and somehow raise th...

350 SN

I have a new to me 350loader.
It does not have a serial number, there are two holes where it should be.
How do I find out what I have?

My mystery continues. There is no serial number on the seat panel.
I have two rivets on the brake side that probably held the SN.
The fuel filter indicated it’s a late model B.
Is there any other way to determine its age?

Thanks for all the info. Found the filter in the 350B parts list, ordered on Ebay. I'm still confused about the SN. Mine is on the dash where it should be for a 350, at least that's where the operators manual has it.[i http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah117/bom1951/DSC05099_zpsbc4481bd.jpg mg][/i...

New JD 350 loader questions

Got a JD 350 diesel track loader with a 4 way bucket at auction last year. Inspection was visual and they did start it. It starts and runs well. It was advertised as a 350B, but the serial number says it’s a 350 (SNE7350000467U). I am currently replacing all filters and fluids and have a couple of p...
