Hi,
It did have a winch attached to the crawler, but it didn't belong there so I had it removed
Looks much better now! And much lighter!

jd 40c Transmission gears rotation
Hello everyone, I´m putting back together the gear clusters of my 40c. It´s everything back in the transmission housing. The thing is that the Input Shaft cluster doesn´t rotate freely. Is that correct? Are all shafts supposed to rotate freely when in neutral? The PTO shaft rotates freely, but when ...

I plan on reboring the engine and putting new original cylinders. ´ I´m afraid that they might have changed to height of the engine bl...

40c replacement carburetor
Hi there, The 1954 40c I´m restoring came with no carburetor. Need to purchase a new or refurbished one. What´s the correct carburetor model for my crawler? Is it a TSX-530? Check out photos of the ongoing restoration at: https://www.flickr.com/photos/78185422@N02/sets/72157649137708155/ Regards, Ri...

JD crawler Identification help
Hi there! Have just purchased a John Deere Crawler for restoration. Unfortunately the serial number tag is missing. There´s just another plate that says it was financed in 1954. I believe it´s a 40c model from 1954. Can anyone confirm that? What else there´s to know about this crawler. There´s a pic...
