The manual I received with my 2010 diesel states something along the lines of glow plugs on for 2mins below 50f and to turn them on again until engine smooths out. I do not have a primer and live in Canada and have no issues starting my 2010 even below 32f if I follow this. If it's 85f plus I still ...

I could soak them in water. Snow is hopefully 3 more months away but you never know. My track pads don't have the opening like the "snow" pads. Could I hurt anything driving it around in the snow?

They are 12" stroke but could have used 10". The tilt is a 6" stroke. I took the time to draw it all up in 3d cad before I built it. Added the root rake on weekend can't wait to try it out. So far the 6 way works great. No problems yet. Cleared about an acre of small trees and alders with just the blade with great results. I'm really happy I took the time to add the hydraulics.

Thanks all. Yes they are the 3.5 princess auto ones. Hope they hold up never used their cylinders before. For the price it was hard not to try them.

As for the welding all the bad looking ones are mine lol and all the good ones are a friends who welds for a living.

I would highly recommend buying the download of the service manual from the John Deere website. You have to remove them through the top of the final drive after you pull the shaft out the side. I bought a 2010 crawler loader that had a good diiesel, a backhoe and a root rake . I then transfered the motor and have plans to adapt root rake. Then ii will likely part the rest of the loader out.

Still have to remove and wrap hoses and tidy a few things up. This project started in the fall with this 2010 having almost brand new running gearall done in 2004 and barely used, but a blown diesel,snapped crank.

Got inspired by other member and just completed the conversion. All seems to work well but will know more when spring actually gets here and I have more to push than snow and Manure.
