Re: Track adjustment on 450D
On my 350 I changed the adjuster about 20 years ago.If my memory is correct I pulled the idler forward with a come a long attached to the loader bucket. this took all the slop out of the track. Then I cut out the old adjuster. With the new adjuster fully compressed I was able to get it in place with...

Re: 3pt toplink lengths
what works best for me. The toplink adjusted with about half the threads on both ends showing should extend out the length of the lift arms. On most implements the lift pins are directly below the pin for top link. With the toplink at this length you have adjustment in or out depending on the desire...

Re: Question about crawler 810-820
I was looking at the serial numbers on the 350 in 87 it looks like about 10000 were made in the years prior to that some years had less than 5000.
If that's world wide distribution no wonder they stopped making them.

If you look at the engine serial plate along side the starter I think you will find that your engine was made in France. The JD ag tractors are made in France. My 350c has a rotodiesel ip. that was the first clue something was wrong. Then I figured out the bolts were metric. That is when I looked at...

Now that I'm old and dumb I can't run fast enough to catch a cat so I had ...

While doing some work with the 350c the engine shut down. I checked the fuel solenoid thats good has a good fuel flow coming from the tank. I pulled the fuel line going into the ip good flow while cranking but did not check with pressure gauge. I cracked the lines at the injectors no fuel while cran...

on the 350 straight that splined coupling has a lever attached to it . when working properly the coupling can be move forward allowing one to change the belt without removing the hydraulic pump. I would make sure it is working properly before reassembly it is a nice feature that was done away with o...
