tracks

Hello
I need my memory jogged regarding tracks. Will 40 tracks fit on my 420 4 roll? Plus or minus a link?
I have a chance to buy a good set and my 420 tracks are tired.
Thanks
Dan

clutch / brake pedals on 420C

Hello My clutch and brake pedals are frozen together. I have a pretty good idea that I am not the first to have this happen. I am sure that there are a lot of good ideas out there to get them working independently again. I would like to work on this tomorrow. I have oxy/acet if needed. Thanks for yo...

Thanks Lavoy

Is the ctr to ctr of the pins on a 2010 the same as the 420 / 350....5.75" ?
I realize that the sprocket offset probably is different but I can machine out the center and weld in another.

thanks again

2010 sprockets

Hello There is a brand new / old set of 2010 sprockets for sale nearby. The picture shows the hub bolt pattern and it appears the same as my 420....6 holes for bolts and 3 stud holes. Did 2010 have the same pitch track as the 420 and would the bushing OD be the same as the 420 or a 350?? thanking ev...

2010 sprockets

Hello

Will 2010 sprockets interchange on my 420 or are they made for a larger bushing like a 350 sprocket?

thanks again

420c track bushing spec

Hello again
I have read here that a new track has a ctr to ctr link measusement of 5.75" pin to pin.
I am measuring approx. 1.550 OD on the bushing. Can someone tell me what the new bushing OD spec is?

Thanks again

350 tracks on a 420

The tracks/links on my 420 are pretty much gone. I have read here that 350 tracks will adapt if I use 350 sprockets and mate the center of the 420 sprocket to a 350 sprocket to get the correct bolt pattern and offset. Will the 420 idlers and rollers work with the 350 track and is there any other kno...

steering clutch adjustmet tool

Just ordered a steering clutch tool from Lavoy. Can someone send me the link to the page that explains how to use it to adjust the clutches?
I'm a good mechanic but fall way short with computer searches.

Thanks a lot everyone

420 crawler final drive bearings

Thank you very much for that info.
Have you ever built up the seal area of the output shaft?
I was thinking spray welding. What are your thoughts?

thanks again

420 crawler final drive bearings

Hello I have found spherical tapered roller bearings on both ends of the drive shafts leading out to the sprocket but regular tapered bearings on the upper pinion shafts. My question is: Has anyone that has rebuilt their final drives gone to the Timken 390A regular tapered roller bearing? and has it...
