Looking for log arch - 1010
My fellow enthusiasts, I'm looking for a log arch to add to my 1010c. I built a pull behind arch that hooks to the drawbar and uses the dozer winch up over it to skid logs, but it's a pain in the butt to pull an arch behind me in the tight woods I'm working in. I know these things are few/far betwee...

Re: 1010/350 winch
PS if someone needed this shipped and was serious I could probably lend a hand in picking this up and palleting/shipping. It’s not terribly far from me and I like to see this old equipment put to work. I offer this only as a service to assist others on this page who have offered help when I was rebu...

Re: 1010/350 winch
This created quite the conversation! I posted and forgot about it. On my 1010 machine all I needed to do was remove a small cover on back of trans and slide a short 4-6” driveshaft in the hole. Done deal. I paid $800 for a complete winch and had to put about $500 into misc parts, including the cable...

1010/350 winch
Found this on my local CL. I already have one on the machine I own so thought I’d share.

Repair
The spool can be pulled out, but condition of your spool will determine if a new cup seal will fix the issue. I had same issue on mine and put new cups in it. It leaks less, that's all I can say.

Parts
Hello - I would be interested in the clutch housings(both sides) and the fuel tank. Bottom rollers wouldn't kill me to have a few good ones laying around. I'm also missing a few minor parts to complete mine - you can call or text me at 570-506-7728
Thanks - Mike

Battery disconnect switch and main frame rail 1010
Working on a few repairs and a couple things that bug me. Curious to know how you guys have your battery disconnect switches wired. I've read mixed reviews, without clear direction, on hooking them up to positive or negative terminals. Is it more wise to hook to negative - or to positive? In regards...

Tare weight
I worked in the family trucking business, hauling grain, for quite a few years. Legal weight was 80,000 for us, and tare weight was 32-35,000. We would therefore net around 45-48,000 payload. Keep in mind we had large kenworths with 60" sleepers on them and 45' walking floor trailers, which are heav...

Model 10 winch
Well fellas - I ended up picking up a series/model 10 winch that is complete. It needs some work but is repairable. I think more than anything it just needs the clutch cleaned up and a few new seals. Is there a service manual out there for these winches? I was able to get most of what I feel needs t...

portable track press
Fellas, one trick I used when I separated the tracks on my 1010, was to rent a large ball joint press from Advance Auto Parts for the afternoon. I utilized that press to it's fullest extent, with heat from the rosebud and walla, out the pin came. reinstalled same way, but I believe I had to drive th...

Thanks for the info - however I don't think electric is the right option for the use I'll have with the winch. Like Lavoy states "it'll be in a bunch of little pieces" if I go that route. PSprague has offered a winch he has and so far so good. It's the 3315 model from a 350? - he's looking for the v...

Thanks Lavoy! Seller says its complete as it was all mounted up to machine when he bought it. He had to remove to do a steering clutch housing and didn't reinstall. Only issue he knows of is a leaking forward control seal. Doesn't sound too difficult considering what I've been through with the rest ...
