Re: racingjoe66 350B Loader

I've noticed the nose looks pretty stout and heavy. That's why i've asked before I attempt it and either get hurt or break it by dropping it. Any help there would be great. I'm going to be starting with all the grounds first then checking all the wiring for any bad spots. The operators book I got wi...

Re: racingjoe66 350B Loader

I was just out seeing what gauge lights worked and also how much light the 2 headlights put out. I noticed when the lights are turned on the oil pressure gauge pegs out, turn it off and then it goes down to operating pressure. Any thoughts on why that would happen?

Re: racingjoe66 350B Loader

Yeah the kid I got it from I think had a little ocd or something. Every piece of equipment he had sitting there he repainted. Which this crawler really didn't need the make over at all. The sprockets and pads and links are all in excellent shape. All the pivot points on the loader are oozzing grease...

Re: bolt on track cleats

Thanks guys for the input. My dad wants to put the extra removable traction on them for when we are down in the river bottom pulling huge oak logs and other logs out of the river and such. And here at my place will be in a lot of solid wet blue clay as well. Right now its just seeing whats out there...

Re: racingjoe66 350B Loader

Thanks Jim for posting for me!! I did end up buying this crawler loader, I wish the kid wouldn't have painted as the factory paint wasn't in that bad of shape. But is what it is. Seems to be a nice little machine. What do you all think?

bolt on track cleats

Has anyone made bolt on cleats for there crawler? I just bought a 1974 JD 350B crawler loader with the 3 cleated pads. Me and my Dad were thinking of making bolt on cleats to go on top for more traction for in muddy conditions or places where needing more traction. I was thinking of C-Channel on eac...

Re: 1974 JD 350B need input before buying

Thanks for the response. I wish I could go look at it in person physically but it is a 5 hour drive away 1 way and so I have had to rely on a video of it running and pictures that he has sent to me. The sprockets are rounded and very thick even at the end and not pointed or even close to it. My dad ...

Is $5,500 a bad price for one if everything works as it should and such?

Re: 350B Loader Pads

On a 1974 350B crawler loader with the 3 cleat pad. What is the brand new height of the cleats? I am looking at a loader to buy now and they are at 3/8", just want to see how much they are worn as the owner is trying to say they weren't very high to begin with. Thanks

John Deere 690B crawler excavator

Hi guys I looked at a 690A excavator with 4,100 hours and wasn't too thrilled with it, the drive sprockets were wore bad, most of the track pad pins had at least a 1/4" gap and the boom had 2 cracks on it. Other than that the machine was a good runner. When I inquired to General Gear & Machine in Bo...
