450c track problem
I have a 450 c john deer and need to break the track so I can replace the seal in the track adjuster. The only difference in the pins is one has a hole in the middle of it, I took that to be the king pin. But the problem is I can't get the pin out. Have tried heating and driving but it does not move...

450c steering
I guess I confused everyone. So I'll try again. If I put it up a big tree both tracks spin. If I pull the right lever the right track stops, when I release the lever it starts spinning again. Now when I pull the left lever if I gently pull the left stops and when I release the lever track starts spi...

450c steering
Yes it's a C. If push something unmovable both tracks spin down. Until I pull the left steering lever then the left stops turning until I hit the right lever, brakes or clutch then it starts pulling. Does not matter how hard I pull the right lever all it does is turn. The left will turn as long as I...

another question on 450
My 450 c builds up pressure in the final drives. You can run it a bit and take the fill plug out and there is built up pressure.
Should there not be a vent tube that is stopped up and I just can't find it?
Thanks
Alton

Finally got the service manual on the 450. It shows to adjust the left steering I need to screw the adjusting knob in till the self adjuster will catch and have 6" of pull on the lever. But the problem is it does not say how to get to the adjuster, the best way I can see is to take the top of the ho...

The tag on the side says 450 C J not sure what the J stands for. Serial # 228579 T.
Both sides had pressure in them, should there have been. and both were over full. When I took the plug out oil squirted out.
Thanks again
Alton
