Re: 3325 winch

Yes, the winches are super $$$$. My spool valve was cheap, just orings. But my pump was shoot, run dry by the previous owner. Supposedly it was a Webster pump that was commonly used and inexpensive. None that I could find. My local Deere located one one the dealer web. Tore the he** out of a $1,000 ...

Re: 3325 winch

If you have a pressure gauge and fittings you may try isolating components to help life localize your problem. Best regards, Bruce

Re: 3325 winch

I believe the pressure test port is under the left side of the winch. There should be two 1/4 pipe plugs. The one to the left (outside) is a drain for the left case. The plug closer to the inside is the test port for the clutch. I risk sounding remedial , but you have the right amount of oil? Pickup...

Re: 3325 winch

Are you certain this is a spool valve? When I re-did my spool, I didn't remember any brass seats. Could you have a rotary valve?? How many hydraulic hoses are used to attach the valve to the winch? I have recently rebuilt a 3325. Stripped to the bare bone. Right and left quills out, winch spool and ...

Re: HELP with ID and advice - 450 Crawler Loader?

Welcome to the JD crawler site. I don't believe there is another SN # location on your machine. Some of the later series machines had the SN # stamped in the metal under the aluminum SN tag. These #'s can be hard to see b/c they get filled in with paint. It may be worth scratching where the tag was ...

Re: clutch plate removal

Someone probably removed the pipe plug out of the bottom of the left quill case. They do this to let oil drain out so the brake band doesn't get soaked. Unfortunately, It lets everything else in. The brake band when properly set, serviced and in good condition is the only thing preventing free spool...

Re: clutch plate removal

My link is to a 3315 power winch found under the 350 c dozer model. Go to my posted link and scroll down to see the label, just below the picture. What model is your winch?? I would like to help, but we need to be on the same page. I have tried your link, but I was unable to see a diagram or # 10, 1...

Re: rear transmission plate removal

If it is cast iron, be careful with the prying force. It will behave much different the cast steel or plate steel when under stress. Best regards, Bruce

Re: Commercial zero turn mowers

Couple other good brands that friends have - Kubota, Grasshopper, Dixie Chopper. I believe in buying from a trusted family owned local dealer. That may influence your choice, b/c of what brands are in your locale. I have always been interested in what brand of engine is being used. We seem to all ha...

Re: Commercial zero turn mowers

I run a Exmark, LaserZ 60". Bought in 2001, 800 hrs of use. 25 hp Koehler carbed air cooled. At the time the business was family owned built in Beatrice Nebraska. Now owned by Toro, still built in Beatrice. The deck is amazing, doesn't clump/plug. Of course I removed the discharge guard, like all ot...

Re: JD450C Transmission case leak/repair.

Is it possible the hole is there to allow drainage in a non-oil filled cavity, such as a clutch bell housing. I have seen people put split pin in those holes to discourage insect migration, water intrusion, etc..... if it truly into a oil cavity, my advise would be to remove the oil, completely. Rin...
