I changed my hydraulic filter over the weekend and that warning light is no longer flashing.

My 550 has been doing the same thing many people in this forum describe. It would run fine until it got warm, and then stop pulling. I would let it idle for a minute, and then it would run fine again. I thought (and hoped) it might be a flow problem. I drained the fluid and pulled the suction screen...

I have a 1983 550. On the dash panel, there is an indicator light on the right side that the parts manual calls a "filter bypass indicator". The light comes on sometimes from half throttle and up. Does anyone have any idea which filter is being bypassed? And what might be causing it? Thanks.

Lew, any update? I have the same thing going on with my 550. Slips on hills....level ground seems okay.
