Thanks for all the responses everyone. Unfortunately the weak pressure plate is sounds like the culprit. After getting my trans all rebuilt and steering clutches cleaned and reassembled I have been using the crawler for a little while now. I have noticed sometimes that the left track will slow down or stop when pushing hard. I checked the throw out bearing for the clutch and it is not riding the finger...

Thanks I did. Luckily it was all good. Got all the new bearings and seals put in and steering clutches cleaned up and its running and driving good.

Thanks for the advice! Cleaned it up, vee'd it out, preheated it and Mig welded it. Its holding for now. We'll see how long it lasts with my welds :D

recently acquired a 1956 420C with a Greenville steel car company loader on it. I was told it ran and drove when parked a few years ago. Get it home and the engine is stuck.
