gear oil turning white.

I fear that I may have water seeping into my tranny of my 1965 350 crawler. Ive chaned the oil out twice and have checked for leaks and good seals everywhere. This machine does not have a reverser, just a simple gear transmission.. Is this machine known for any leaks or common issues with the tranny...

push arms for 1965 350.

Hi guys, it's been a while since I visited. I have a 1965 350 crawler with a manual adjustment dozer blade. Both push arms for the blade are broken off pretty short inside the part the connects to the crawler. Any idea on where I should start looking for parts for this machine would be appreciated. ...

blade arms for 65 350

we have aa 1965, jd 350 crawler with a dozer blade that has manual angle arms on it. the arms that slide into the cylinder bracket assemble are broken off quite short inside, hence we cannot angle the blade if we wanted to. I am looking for a place to purchase some used ones. We do have a metal shop...

Well, we are up and running. Put in the new 6 volt coil that the dealer claims is the correct stock part for that machine. Started the crawler, started right up. checked the voltage at both ends of the coil. Mehanic did this, whatever that means. He found that he was getting way to much voltage gong...

Lavoy, you wouldnt by any chance have a manual so we could get the correct part no. for the original coil. I want to make sure that our dealer is giving us the correct part. They have been giving us the 6 volt, for that machine. ????????

i have a technical manual for a 350b. that calls for a 12 volt coil. Now weve been running this thing for 2 yrs with a 6 volt resisted coil. how can that be. Would that be the reason why there was a resistor in the harness and one in the coil. very confusing. I have ser #s for the tractor and for th...

but what im saying is, if we somehow burned the internal resistor in the coil, can that happen by having a short somewhere. this machine has a 12 battery yet has a 6 volt coil. is that right or is this a rig job.

now here is one for you. we just installed a new coil on the crawler. this thing fired right up and ran. it ran better than ever. we used it for about two hours. everything was going great then it just died like someone shut the key off. now apparently the coil was bad. do you think we just burned o...

is there an advantage to using the resistor that is in the harness as opposed to the resisted coil. If the harness came with a resistor in line, do we have the wrong coil?

I did. But it ran for 5 mins, and i shut it off because i new that the oil was really soaked in gasoline and i didn't want to damage the cylinders. we changed the oil and tried to restart it, with no luck. like i said, its hit or miss which the mechanic feels can be attributed to a coil that shorts ...

Heres where we are now. Wed. we had a mechanic who has worked these old gas jds his whole life come over and give a hand diagnosing this beast. Well 6 hrs later we still had no answer. We have compression, we have fire, we have fuel, we are timed correctly. I know, this thing should be running. We a...

Update!!! Like i had mentioned. got the crawler home. Now I can hear with my own ears whats going on. looked at it yesterday. one thing came to mind. one of you guys mentioned that the solenoid could act as a resister. my father-in-law had mentioned that the old harness did not have a resistor in it...
