I was referring to a decelerator, I saw it referred to as a foot throttle while searching online. I wasn’t sure of the official name. Would having a decelerator be beneficial enough to make one for a 450B dozer? I have had a 450B loader for 10 years and not much need to adjust the engine rpm on it a...

Re: Year of machine
My 450b has the serial mumber stamped in the top of the trans/ring and pinion housing at the very back. There is also another set of numbers Back there that are measurement from when the Ring and pinion were set. I think the serial number is on the right of that housing and the other numbers are on ...

I finished rebuilding the reverser, sleeved the clutch oil manifold and replaced All o-rings and seals in the hydraulic system. I wanted to test it before I put the covers on so I made an adapter to spin the input shaft with a air drill. This is where my questions come in. When I spin the input shaf...

I am new to this message board and new to JD crawlers also. My name is Jim and I live in middle TN. I bought a 450B project a few weeks ago. The motor has been out for about 20 years and it needs frame rails and a lot more. I already bought frame rails and rebuild kit for the engne. Today I pulled t...
