My 450b has the serial mumber stamped in the top of the trans/ring and pinion housing at the very back. There is also another set of numbers Back there that are measurement from when the Ring and pinion were set. I think the serial number is on the right of that housing and the other numbers are on ...

What's normal transmission noise

I am rebuilding a 450b loader. I am test running the Engine and transmission with it on jack stands. The sprockets and tracks are off so there is no load on it while testing. While running at Low rpm (800) and the H L R in forwards or reverse there is gear noise but it goes Away when I rev it up som...

If I loosen the top two
frame rail to steering clutch housing on both sides until there is a 1/16
gap at the top I can get the holes lined up by jacking up the bell housing.
Any idea what could be causing this?

Well been working on this thing off and on for about a year now.
Today I installed the new frame rails and with all frame bolts tight
the bell housing bolt holes are about 3/8" low.
