Re: Value time

I picked up a local '78 450c loader for $3500.00. It had not been used in years and hour meter read 1234.5. Go figure, like someone disconnected it on purpose. Machine had more hours than was shown. The right final drive had issues as the sprocket hub was rubbing the rail. I new the bearings were go...

Clean as a whistle now. And that was several hours ago. Grass still doesn't grow where I cleaned it. Good for 30 more yea...

Re: 450C how to bar over engine?

You can remove timing pin at flywheel on left side of engine and turn it with a small bar 1 tooth at a time.

Low oil pressure can be associated to balancer bushings which cannot be addressed with in frame rebuild. You will need to pull engine for access.

My clutch disintegrated so had to remove the engine. Then discovered both my rails were broke. Removing the engine and rails I found several broke bolts. Puddle welded sacrificial nuts to the broke studs and were able to remove them. So far holding up good [/img]

450c Final Drive parts

Hello All, my '78 450c loader right side final drive has failed. Removed the track and found that the outer drive bearing was destroyed. Removed final drive assembly to find teeth from bull gear and pinion shaft laying in the bottom of final drive oil pan. The loose teeth had broken 3 holes in the c...
