I got started pulling the engine today. I removed the hard nose and pulled the pressure gauge off of the cooler return line and lowered it in a bucket to drain. Some oil drained out and then I heard something drop into the bucket….an acorn had rolled out of the hose. I then pulled the inlet hose of...

Re: Daily Grind

Hi Lavoy,
What east Texas is like: Monday at 8 in the morning it was 82 with 93 percent humidity. Same all week so far.Afternoons are low 90's with same killer humidity. It ain't a dry heat around here...You sweat and stay wet so no evaporative cooling effect. It sucks.

Re: Injection Pump

I have a pump and injector shop I use here in my town. 3 pumps re-built and 12 or so injectors cleaned and or re-built. Zero issues. Hard to find good job shops and when you do support them as best you can.

Re: Just wanted a new flip phone....

Morning dtoots: Seen those here and watched on youtube, Even rented one a few years ago. Just like any small piece of equipment you have to know and understand its limitations. What I noticed is they aren't all that heavy duty and are slower acting on the back hoe end due to limitations of tractor h...

Re: My bitch for today

And on customer service: those days are mostly long gone. I'm always having to walk people I'm dealing with on how to help me with my needs with very few exceptions and the exceptions are always older workers who know their job.
It use to bother me: now I just shake my head and deal with it.

Re: My bitch for today

Mill ends are good but you can also get good deals at scrap yards. Of course some of their steel is good for melting down only but they usually have good material too.
Made several projects from "scrap" over the years that looked and functioned as though I used new steel.

Re: reverser oil flow question

That doesn't sound right. Cooler outlet pressure should be the lubricating pressure to clutches and output shaft and there seems to be either no pressure or resistance to flow. The manual says to control the pressure by the clutch lubricating bypass valve. If you open the cooler outlet fitting (sin...
