Cousin with a 2010 diesel threw a rod through block. I've got a 1010c diesel, in pieces, at one time was going to fix it. Can he use entire engine, or parts, to repair his? Used sleeve deck came in! Dropping off pistons, deck, and cylinder head at machine shop.

Says motor stuck. Homemade plow.

Finally some good news. Pulled rod caps and lifted sleeve deck with pistons out. Rod bearings have no wear, looks like it was rebuild at some point. Put it up on a workbench, lol. Didn't want to work in the dirt.

On the side of the reverser. Clutch pushes in a valve, should be able to see where clutch linkage goes into reverser.

Maybe clutch valve is stuck in.

Did some measuring of the track. 3in link height. Getting a pitch measurement of 5.75, measured 4 of them, between top idler and rear sprocket, got 23 exactly. Also tried to move track side to side, between top idler and rear sprocket, one side had zero movement, other side very little. It rolls pre...

Also working on getting used sleeve deck from Vailvalley. Hone it, new piston rings, old pistons, gaskets, and maybe I'll have a good engine. Need to check crankshaft when I have pan off.

Found another issue. Input shaft in transmission has about .100 endplay. I can see the rollers and cages of bearings, so not sure why. Maybe bearing retainer plate is loose. Book says everything has to come apart, and pull transmission. I'm wondering if I remove track adjusters, looks like I'll have...

I am thinking of pulling the plate with the pistons, and pushing the pistons out the bottom.
