The previous owner welded nuts onto the spring retaining rod to trap the idler assembly. All the extra rod and motion are at the back threw the “pad eye” cup thing and very inconvenient. Being able to use Redi-rod will make things much easier. I can just cut the old bad rod out instead of trying to ...

Hi, does anyone know if I can replace the tensioner/spring rods with commercial threaded rod? I have an early 420c that is showing its age and throws it’s worn out tracts more than I would like. Thank you for getting back to me. Do you know what the torque setting is? Also the manual I have shows lock washers .My machine doesn't have them and the sprocket hole are concave as if for lug nuts. The washer make no sense to me.

Hi , I have what seams to be a phase one 420c . I bought it about a year ago. I've been using it to grade the drive way ,let my young sons push snow, haul the odd log and handle a large leaf pile (10 -12 tons).
