I used 4 5/8 bolts that were 10” long to slide the final back out to visually inspect the shaft. It was fully installed thru the clutches, so I good. Only took 5 minutes.
Maybe this will help someone in the future that experiences the same thing.

Re: 350B steering clutch pilot bearing question
Thanks for the response Leonard. I didn’t have the other side off, so based on what you’ve said those axels should be butted up to each other. If there is no room for movement then I’d say I’m good. I do the install as you mentioned with two 5/8 bolts. I’ll wait for some more input from anyone who m...

350B steering clutch pilot bearing question
I re installed my final drive today and felt like it slid into place way to easy. I’m afraid the drive shaft T20731 did not seed into the pilot bearing cup like it should have. I sometimes install the shaft into transmission first and then install the final drive second to give myself enough space t...

Re: Coolant in all 3 cylinders
Both sides of the middle cylinder at the thinnest location. Should have caught it right away, but was curious about the coolant being in the cylinders. The cracks did become more evident after the engine cooled and the air temp dropped.
Thing was probably ran very hot I would imagine.

Re: Coolant in all 3 cylinders
She opened up a little bit last night when the temps dropped below freezing and it’s evident I have a cracked block…time to drop my spare engine in there…

Re: Coolant in all 3 cylinders
Something else I just realized…i did not remove the lower radiator hose before removing the head. This probably created a situation where the head had coolant in it that could have drained into the cylinders. I did remove some housing from the head that drained quite a bit of coolant, but I figure m...

Coolant in all 3 cylinders
350 B with the 3-152 engine I pulled the head today and found that all 3 cylinders have coolant in them. Both the head and water pump have been replaced by the previous owner. Coolant in the oil isn’t a new thing…gasket, head, block and the problem is usually found. But with all 3 cylinders full I’m...

Re: 350B Reverser will not go in forward
Are you using the linkage to shift from R N F ? Or are you shifting by pushing the lever on the reverser itself?
I reassembled a B model and my cab was moved forward too much, so my linkage was out of adjustment upon reassembly...could be simple.

Rossa Master leak
I got a slight leak (but a big mess) coming from the throttle lever. Is this just a simple o ring on this shaft. I don't know if I should pull the top off the ip or if the shaft can be pulled without removing the top. I don't have the numbers for the pump, but figure most are the same and far as the...

Re: Tachometer options
Best I can figure you place a magnet on something that rotates or you place a sensor on the altenator to get the pulse. Then apparently you have to calibrate the tach to match the rpm from the engine. I'm doubtful it would be accurate on a consistent basis. The tach currently on the dozer is a stewa...

AT148149 looks to be the latest part listed. I'm not sure about the drive cable, but I'll need both.
All things considered I'm considering an electric tach. Does anyone have any experience in this area?
Thanks
