Looking for Console mounted Hydraulic Levers for a 1010C/A

I'm still looking for either one of the console mounted hydraulic levers for an early model 1010 crawlers. The two levers are part numbers T14713 or T14727. I've already hit the usual sources like Crawler Heaven and Lavoy with no luck and I'd really like to get an original lever rather than make som...

From what I had read a few years back, any of the remaining CMP rifles have pretty much been mixed parts from several manufacturers to assemble rifles within acceptable wear limits. I think they do get returns from foreign governments on M1 rifles so I suspect my information is pretty dated. I was r...

Not if I find it first.

I wish the government would release the M-14s and make us all happy.

Did you check auctionarms.com or gunbroker.com yet Lavoy?

Junk 1010 sprockets on eBay

I'd have to say if it wasn't for the photos, these would be completely misrepresented. I suppose if somebody was looking for a couple of donors to weld rims onto, they might work for that. I'm mostly posting this so somebody inexperienced doesn't get sucked in. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?V...

I just always thought they were faded but the ones I have look like the ones on the front crawler in your picture. It's a real light yellow. Wonder where I can find a paint schedule for the name plates.

Thanks Lavoy, I forgot about you posting those. The one in the rear looks like the name plates were replaced with industrial plates as it is polished letters with a black background. The one in the front is definitely yellow background with polished letters and border. The picture in the photos sect...

1010CA John Deere Name Plate colors

Just double checking but I think the correct colors for the Ag crawler are Deere yellow background with polished aluminum for the letters and border. Anybody know for sure?

Thanks,

Bill

That is a really cool picture. As to Stan's comment, it actually worried me more that I did get it. As I recall the the legend "I built a castle and it sank into the swamp." "I built a second castle and it too sank into the swamp." "I built a third castle and it burned down, fell over and sank into ...

That's sort of a tough call. The way I broke the one that wasn't already broken was trying to get it off with a broken bolt stuck in it. The way the thing is made, it seems unlikely that you would break it just using it but likely to break it if you have any trouble removing it or if the bolt broke ...

I'd buy a set now and hold onto them. For the way most of us will use these crawlers, you might never wear out the ones you have and it's less likely you'd ever wear out two sets of pins and bushings. I had my rails repinned last summer and I'm just about to the point where I can put them back on. I...

I feel your pain brother. At least I can make a 1010c sprocket if I need to. With a 2010c, you haven't even got that out.

I forgot to add that the 2010 isn't up yet. I looked last night. You will see a note when the 2010 returns that it's not available. Pretty much the same as 1010 and 2010 parts.

Go to JDparts.com and select the John Deere Parts Catalog link. On the parts catalog screen enter the model number of the tractor and you will see a number of PDF links when the model search returns. Enter just the model nummber with none of the following letters as many of the older crawlers are in...

All the old Parts Catalogs are up on JDparts.com

Saw a post over on the johnnypoppers forum about Deere having put up all the old parts catalogs in PDF format. Funny, I noticed that the 1010C parts catalog was there in PDF a couple of weeks ago but I never thought to look any further. Sure as heck, they are all there. Downloaded the M, 40, 420/430...
