Re: pic server DOWN

Yeah.... needed something beefier than the JD350b and with a blade. It's a 1960 Cat D6B in really good shape. Have 25 acres to clear and establish the civil infrastructure side for a 75 home subdivision we are building. Will be moving a fair amount of material as I start to cut the roads in... will ...

Re: pic server DOWN

Hey guys, My sincerest apologize regarding the pic server. It is back up again. In fact.. it was never actually 'down'. The routes from the Internet had been changed making it inaccessible. All is there 100% and nothing has been lost. Please feel free to check it out and let me know. I will reach ou...

Re: Track adjustment on 450D

I can't say about the seal as the after market version looks considerably different in make up than the original. Certainly care should be taken if it is separated and then reassembled. If you believe that the possibility is there that it could damage the seals than you may have no choice than to se...

Re: Track adjustment on 450D

Hello Mr. John, Am I missing something here or does the new replacement appear to have forks that will be far to short to reach to the mounting block at the center of the idler wheel? Given that the previous owner welded the washers where he did, and the fact that you are replacing it... you could c...

Today.... nearly every internet server in the world uses UTC time... with the embedded offset... regardless of country.

Good point dtools1. I hadn't checked that. Take a look again... should see thumbnail, intermediate, and original now.

Re: Straight JD 450 clutch oil manifold replacement.

Hi Rayman,

It would appear that the HLR transmissions were used from the JD450 through the JD450c. Pretty certain the manifolds are identical between all three (JD450b included).

Re: Steering problems 350b

dtools1, I just put a new post/thread at http://www.jdcrawlers.com/messageboard/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=11785 covering all the information about the show and the possibility of having a get together for all jdcrawler members who may be attending it. Hope it's the right place to have put it and everyone ...

Worlds largest tractor and engine show - ya goin?

Greetings everyone, I grew up in the North West in my earlier life and really it is home for me but I've found myself occupying space here in the midwest since '83 and since that time, I had no idea until about 4 years ago that we have here, in nearly my back yard, the worlds largest tractor and eng...

Re: Steering problems 350b

So I just met a guy today in the town I am in who has a JD1010 crawler with blade. Needless to say we hit it off and could have talked all weekend. He had been through all this with his crawler when he bought it ages ago and began to show me some of the stuff he has. Dang if a LOT of stuff on the 10...

Re: Steering problems 350b

The clutches are dry on mine as well. It is the later versions, C I think, that have the wet clutch and certainly the 450's. My books, and I have the operators, service, and parts manuals don't seem to show anywhere what the diameter of the disc are and I'm getting conflicting reports from several d...

Hello Jerseymill,

I'm seeing them go from $150 to $225 each. I would offer $125 each... if he needs more... he'll tell ya.

Re: 72 450b clutch is good brake band worn

Hello cmeens, Have you tackled that right brake yet? You could conceivably pull it out through the access under the battery box however it will be a pain.... it will be an even bigger pain to put one back in and get it snaked around the drum. One way though that I can think of doing it that may be a...
