Re: 1010C Radiator
I think you jumped a line on the description side. AT13989 is the radiator cap, the radiator part number is AT13096. The manual is likely correct, however that radiator only applies to a few of the 1010 crawlers. A couple pages further in the parts catalog they show other radiators used on the 1010 ...

Re: JD 420c Crawler Hydraulic System
To post pictures you need to use a third-party hosting site like Imgur or Postimage. Those are both free as far as I know, and there are others. From your description of, the pump is right behind the radiator, that sounds like what is the referred to as the camshaft driven pump. It works fine for th...

Re: JD 420c Crawler Hydraulic System
Welcome to the boards. There is not a yes or no answer to your question, as such. Do you have a blade, loader, or neither in addition to the backhoe? What is the backhoe? Do you know the recommended pressure and flow for the backhoe? Have you done a pressure test to know what the current system reli...

Re: 550G
From what I see in the parts catalog the casting numbers would not positively identify a serial number range of your engine. Missing the serial number tag could mean the engine/block has been replaced. Talk to the parts and service departments of your JD construction and Forestry equipment dealer ab...

Re: Engine compression tester for a 450 / Coolant in oil pan
The info I shared was gathered from researching parts catalogs, service/technical manuals, operator's manuals and other sources as I was trying to get correct parts for different machines and engines. On the 180 gasoline engine in my 2020, I ended up finding serial number info in the JD service manu...

Re: Engine compression tester for a 450 / Coolant in oil pan
The 202 was the engine after the sleeve deck diesels in the 2010s. They are individual sleeves like the 219. The 202 was built a relatively short time compared to the 219. They look the same. The 202 used the pencil injectors, like the 219. The 219 will bolt in place of a 202, in fact at least one o...

Re: Bleeding the ripper hydraulic cylinders
Good morning John, I take it this ripper has been on this crawler right along, not a new installation. Is this a 3100/3110 JD ripper? I may have missed them; however, I don't find any bleeders in the parts catalog for the 3100/3110 or bleeding instructions in the Operator's manual OMT64181 when I lo...

Re: 450C oil cooler
Pressure test the old oil cooler. Plug one coolant port and hook up adjustable, regulated air to the other coolant port. Stick in in a bucket of water (heat the water if you can) and put some air to it, start with 15 - 20 psi and let it set, see if you get air bubbles out of the oil side. (Your 450C...

Re: 350b clutch steering shaft removal
A pipe supply house should have heavy u-bolts and friction clamps for 3/4 and 1 inch pipe, those might work.

Re: 350b clutch steering shaft removal
Try a some heavy duty muffler clamps around it for something to give a grip. You can weld something to the saddles of those if You want to make something for a puller.

Re: 350b clutch steering shaft removal
Driveshaft by the parts catalog. Most here are going to think of the shafts involved making the steering clutch function when you pull a lever when you say clutch shaft, thus LeonardL's question. The drive shaft should pull out. Sounds like there is an issue with the splines. Rust, wear, twisted, cr...

Re: 450C oil cooler
I'm sure someone has replaced the tubes with hoses. I wouldn't in that location. It would look like you would need molded hoses to not restrict flow in some of the bends. Did you purchase the correct new hoses for the ends? If you are trying to make the old hoses work or are using new hoses, kind of...

To go with LeonardL's post here is a link to the oil cooler and lines in the online parts catalog.
