Re: 555 Water pump

Welcome to the Board. For future reference posts about 350s and newer should be on the Late Models Board. This post will likely get moved over there when Lavoy or a moderator sees it. From looking at the parts catalogs, they are not the same. besides the 555 show's just one water pump and the 555g c...

Re: Which winch fits JD350B?

The 3320 (Manual control) was used on the 450, basically replaced by the 3325 (Power control {hydraulic pressure from a pump in the winch]). The 3315 is Power control. The mounting adapters (between the winch and crawler) for the 3315 and the 3320/3325 are different part numbers. The 3320 may fit an...

Re: steering clutch wont disengage

Paul and Buckhorn have given you correct info. I am guessing you don't have any manuals, which would explain adjusting the steering clutches and brakes. The 40C falls in with the older Ag tractors for JD manuals and because of that, you can actually download a pdf copy of the operator's manual, free...

I don't think having a bar across the links, under the snow hole, for a bolt would work well. The points of the sprockets come into that area.

Re: JD 350b diesel in the oil. (Old loader sat for 17 years)

Welcome to the board. There are two common places for diesel to get into the engine oil. First is the fuel transfer(aka Lift) pump. Next are the umbrella seals on the shaft that drives the injection pump. Transfer pumps are inexpensive and the common fix is to replace them, rather than try to rebuil...

Re: 1010 gas crawler loader leaking coolant

Hard to say on the coolant leak, hands and eyes on the machine is the only way to confirm where it is.

The track adjuster is not spring loaded to retract. You are going to have to force it back. Don't loose the ball that is under the set screw.

Re: need help with my 40 steering

Sounds like your right side steering clutch may be bad. When you pull the left lever to turn left it disengages the left side clutch, so the left side stops driving (in fact you stop it when you pull further back and apply the brake for a quicker turn). The right side continues to drive when the lef...

Re: 420c steering to the right...

My thought is that the throwout bearing carrier at the outer end of it's travel means you have maximum available adjustment available in the future. As things wear the carrier/bearing will move deeper into the slot during adjustments, as the clutch discs get thinner and the pressure plate fingers ge...

Re: Discontinued 2001 455G Transmission input shaft

The parts catalog shows the earlier units being subbed to the later unit parts including the T164040 shaft. Give Lavoy a call or send an email (postmaster@jdcrawlers.com), he might know of a good late model salvage yard.

Re: Discontinued 2001 455G Transmission input shaft

Did the dealer do a system wide search for the shaft? There might be one setting on a dealership's shelf somewhere, my dealer has found a couple obsolete parts that way before for me. Is there an upgrade change? Looking at the online parts catalog it looks like that part number is in a group of part...

Re: Steering and clutch linkage

I can't see it being a safety feature. Without being able to see it, saying why/what has taken place is hard. I suggest you open the left side and compare everything you see in both. Remove the cotter pin and see what happens. The brake has to actuate when you pull the steering lever, but that shoul...

Re: Hydraulic diagram

The on line parts catalogs are at jdparts.com. Do a model search for 6305 to find the parts catalog for that blade. It may not be what you are looking for as a diagram, but the pages for lift, angle, and tilt show the hose for each going to parts on the valve body. Here is a link direct to that part...

The parts catalog for the 6305 (inside mount, 6 way blade) shows the hose/tube locations for the functions.
