Re: seires 10 and 3310 winch
I can't tell you the differences other than the series 10 winch was for the 1010, I believe. About everything on the 1010 and 2010 series were specific to them so I doubt the series 10 will work on a 350. From the preview of a 350 service manual at the JD bookstore it looks like the manual has secti...

Re: JD 430C gear stick
Good day Shane. It appears several different levers were used. By serial number you should be looking for M4284T lever (for serial number 140000 and above). Below is a link to the parts catalog we can use online here in North America. I think you can access it. Part numbers may help in your searches...

Re: 430C restore - Where to start
With the info that you plan on sending the engine for a rebuild than yes pull it. Given your location you may have best luck contacting Lavoy by email. He uses postmaster@jdcrawlers.com He has asked that people contact him by phone or email for parts, etc., as a post on the discussion boards might g...

Re: 430C restore - Where to start
Welcome to the boards. Lavoy' provider of this site, is in business repairing, restoring and selling parts for machines like your 430C. You should give him a phone call (his number is on the homepage) during CST business hours and start by getting a set of manuals for it from him. You will need the ...

Re: Cross bar bolts
I don't have a 350 Service Manual to look at, but most manuals had a standard torque chart in them for use on hardware that they did not give specific torques for. I think you will find it in the General section of the manual.

Re: 3310 winch parts
The 3310 was not as popular as the 3315 and I don't think the parts supply for them is much. You can check with JK Equipment, LLC in Levant, ME. They do a good bit with many winches and forestry equipment. They have a website you can review, but you will be best to call and talk with someone with yo...

Re: Timeing gear Idler
I am thinking the bolt passes through the internal threads of the idler shaft without engaging them, thus threads or no thread inside the shaft doesn't matter. It would appear the shaft gets tightened against the block or front plate; the shaft has a roll pin in it to keep it from turning. That idle...

Re: 555A hydraulic fluid leaking into transmission
I will be very surprised if your Operator's Manual does not specify Hy Gard or equivalent for the hydraulics. I would use it regardless with the possibility of the hydraulic oil getting into the transmission.

Re: Timeing gear Idler
Sorry, I'm not being much help here. Not having the parts in hand or being able to see it is a disadvantage. The shaft with no threads would say the bolt passes through the unthreaded hole and threads into the block or a nut behind the shaft, clamping the shaft in place. Having internal threads woul...

Re: Timeing gear Idler
What exactly is wrong with the parts that were in it, besides the screw was loose? If the threads on the screw are bad get a new screw from JD. You can clean/degrease the internal threads and the screw's thread and put a bit of blue thread locker on it, then properly torque it. It appears all the sh...

Re: 555A hydraulic fluid leaking into transmission
Welcome to the Boards. Do you have the Technical and Operator's manuals for your machine? You can access the parts catalog (PC1889) for your 555A online for free, below is a link to it. Look in the loader section for the loader hydraulic pump. There are two pumps shown, based on crawler serial numbe...

Re: Main crank seal
I use High Tack on most gaskets. Normally I only put it on the component that comes off, so removal of the old gasket is easier. The flywheel housing is an exception where I do both sides. I may be a bit OCDC, but I wipe the surfaces where gaskets go with a brake cleaner soaked rag, then once that h...
