Re: Jd 350 boom cylinder disassembly

Thanks for the replies. I have a shop manual but it doesn't go into details about the cylinder disassembly for whatever reason. I should be able to take care of it now though. Thanks again and I'll be back here if I have any other problems.

Jd 350 boom cylinder disassembly

Hi. The boom cylinder on one side of my 350 developed a pretty major leak this past fall and I am trying to fix it over the winter. I pulled the cylinder and unthreaded an outer ring which was somewhat stripped. Now how do I disassemble the cylinder? It looks like there is a snap ring in there? Its ...

Jd 350 steering clutch

I am rebuilding one side on my 350. I took 7 and 8 discs out and am putting in New steel and bimetallic discs. I can only fit 6 and 7 discs for the correct pattern. It is a bit thinner than what was there but with 7 and 8 it is about 3/16 of and inch too thick. Is it alright to put it together like ...

Re: Jd 350 direction reverser has no power

I used tdh. I think I will try the oil that John Deere recommends. If it is the pump I would like to limp it through the summer and rebuild it over the winter. Would that cause any excessive damage

Jd 350 direction reverser has no power

Before I had too thin a fluid, so I put in some hydraulic oil in and it worked fine. Now it's warmer and it drives fine for a minute but once it warms up it loses all it's power and doesn't turn. Should I be using summer hydraulic oil if there's such a thing. If you check the fluid it's quite warm a...

Re: Jd 350 reverser oil

Thanks a lot. My manual said type a tranny fluid was ok but I put in atf. Worked fine in the winter and early spring but now it has more weight on it (backhoe) and it's warmer so it won't go up a steep hill and barely turns. It worked fine before so I think all will be well once I change the fluid. ...

Jd 350 reverser oil

Hi. I changed the oil in the direction reverser on my jd 350. Before it worked fine now it has no power. I put in atf fluid instead of type a transmission fluid. I think the atf is too thin. What oil can I use. It is impossible to find type a. Thanks
