You are correct. it is an amp meter on the dash that doesn't work. I do have the Tech manual but, as you called out, it is with the old motorola and wiring. I am looking at overhaul kits and I need to know if its standard compression or high compression. how do you know this? is a turbo charged high and a non turbo charged standard? any help with figuring this out would be appreciated. Thanks for all the advice so far.

So the mechanic removed the block and pulled the pistons. The sleeves were all ate up and pitted on one of the pistons. Hey all. I have a 450 C. some days it starts just fine and some times it won't start and just crank and crank and crank. when It won't start I bleed the fuel line at the injector. I loosen the nut and crank it until fuel starts spewing out and it starts. Then I tighten it back down and on I go..... ...

So I am checking the fill plug on the side of the final drive (back of the dozer) where the gear is. not on top of the track but behind the dozer. that's the final drive fill level correct? I could be wrong on this one.
