Re: 1010/350 winch
Hello Mike I have a 1966 straight 350 diesel loader. Do you believe that the winch that's for sale in PA would install on my machine. I don't have a pto but I do have the pto engage lever upfront by the transmission dipstick. I believe, but don't know, that I would just need a pto shaft installed an...

350 belt pulley
Can someone tell me what the "belt pulley attachment" is that I read about in my JD 350 diesel loader Service Manual? It is powered by the pto but I don't know what it does.

350 roller grease fitting
A couple of my roller grease fittings squeeze the grease back out of the zerk. Are these bad zerks that need to be replaced or is there a larger internal roller problem? Where to get new zerks if that's the problem?
1966 diesel 350, 5 roller.
Thanks

1966 350 transmission
Going to change all fluids in a couple of weeks. Am I correct in believing that my transmission has NO filter? Just drain, flush and refill? Also, what do I "flush" it with. The same type of hyd fluid I'm going to put back in it? Just pour in several quarts and let it drain out?

Re: Serial # on JD350 engine - update
You're probably long past this issue but my service manual shows the engine sn to be slightly left of the eng oil dipstick.

Re: JD 350
Amos My 2 cents. Just had the right steering overhauled on my 350 last spring. My problem was that when the right steering lever was pulled back, no turning would take place. The mechanic said a large part of my inability to steer was that the clutch discs were gummed up badly with oil/grease/debris...

No winch or pto shaft on my 350 so it’s just the lever then. Thanks again for the info and I’ll also migrate over to the “late model” board as you suggested.

Thanks. You’re correct. The dipstick is on left front. So much grease/dirt etc I couldn’t see it. You mentioned the pto lever. Is that what that lever is right next to the dipstick? What does it do? I don’t have a pto?

350 transmission fluid check
Hello everyone, I've got a straight 350 with direction reverser. Can someone tell me where I check the transmission oil level? The reverser has the bayonet dipstick on the floorboard which is readily accessible and I know it's location. The service manual says 9 quarts for the transmission and 3 gal...
