Re: 430 Reverser
Lavoy, my point is that if this were a crawler the reverser would be out before I get to the transmission. But on a tractor the transmission comes out first and it's a got more effort to get the reverser out. Don't want if I don't need to. This was noisy all the time, didn't need to be loaded.

430 Reverser
I know this is a crawler forum and I'm working on a tractor, but I think you folks may be more familiar with my problem than the tractor folks. I've a 430 U with late style Reverser and a 5 speed transmission. A previous owner stored this thing in his outdoor shed and had clouds for a canopy. The tr...

2010's for sale
I have two 2010 diesel loader crawlers for sale. Both have engine problems. Included in the sale is a NOS crankshaft, connecting rod and gasket set, along with an original JD service manual. One of the crawlers is in fair shape except for the engine, the other is well worn. Engines are out of both. ...

430 Track tensioner
I've a 430 C 4 roller machine. Nothing fancy, just a nice original crawler. It was shipped with hydraulic track tensioners, but they were gone when I bought the crawler, and replaced with some steel plate. Not pretty but it worked. I'm redoing the undercarriage and wondering it a set of hydraulic te...

Re: Implements for 420C
The most desirable implement for this crawler would be a model 810 3-14 plow, in my opinion. Deere made this plow just for the crawlers, but they're almost impossible to find. It has to be a 3 bottom plow, a 2 bottom doesn't have the correct offset. I've been looking for this plow for several years.

440 reverser adjustment
How many joints does your arm need to have to adjust the reverser clutches on a 440 crawler with a 831 loader attached?

Re: 1958 420 Battery
You don't need to attach the maintainer to the battery. If the unit is still the original 6 volt positive ground, attach the positive lead to a good ground source, attach the negative lead to the hot terminal on the starter.

440 reverser
I'm trying to adjust a 4440 wheel tractor reverser. It seems that at some point in this machines life the reverser was rebuilt, but when it was assembled the reverser adjusting pin was put in the wrong position. It can't be seen through the inspection hole. Anyone else ever run into this situation a...

420 & 430 front idler bracket
I have an almost new left front idler bracket M 1824 T for sale. I'd call it NOS but it's obvious it's been bolted on a crawler just looking where the paint is missing around the bolt holes. The center bushing has no wear. Included are about a dozen .010 shims used to adjust clearance. Asking $100 p...

Is there a proper place to list items for sale on this forum? Have some NOS parts I'd like to sale, but don't want to offend anyone.

Re: 440 crawler diesel engine installation
I installed the engine assembly today with the accessories mounted, meaning radiator, fuel filter etc. All went well, except I didn't realize the skid plate had a slight upward bend in it, which caused interference with the engine oil drain plug. Dropped the skid plate about a 1/4" and the assembly ...
