I don't feel "that lucky"! I'll end up replacing the parts. Just interested in learning about stuff like how to interpret their condition. But, it's worth just replacing them while in there.
Thanks

Re: 440IC Engine Clutch Disk - Pressure Plate - Flywheel Condtions....
Yes that's more or less my question. Please bear with me as this is the first time I've laid eyes on these kinds of parts, thus I don't have a feel for their state or wear condition. For all I know they have 50 hrs on them or 2,500 hrs...2 years or 30 years

440IC Engine Clutch Disk - Pressure Plate - Flywheel Condtions....
Getting the engine rebuilt in my 440IC. I am wondering what kind of condition the pressure plate surface, flywheel surface, and clutch disk appear to be in. I have no idea when this stuff would of been replaced - could be new, could be old. I hate to replace something that doesn't need to just for t...

1959 440 IC Engine
Spun a rod bearing or two on my 440IC... Rod and cap journals will need cleaned up, crank turned, and while in there, I’d say maybe cylinders bored and all that jazz. Had a local place quote me a running engine for $1750. Anyone got perspective on what I’d be looking at rebuild cost wise vs. just bu...

Nevermind! Just answered my own question, the tabs are slotted and can be popped off the bolts for adjustment.

Aftermarket/Refurb Pressure Plate Finger Adjustment?
Hi All - Does anyone know how to adjust these aftermarket pressure plate fingers? The metal clips prevent access to the adjusting bolts for the fingers.... I am guessing remove the tab but I figured there would be something easier? Maybe not... This pressure plate is supposed to be a direct replacem...

Model 91 Loader Cylinder Rebuild Kits?
Hi - I was wondering if anyone knew if there are cylinder rebuild kits (bucket control cylinders) available for the John Deere Model 91 Loader - Serial #415... I found the parts catalog and the old number for the rebuild kit seems to be: AU 12371 U but I have had no luck locating anything with that ...
