I found a good working 4276T out of an air compressor. Does anyone know if it will bolt up to my 450C? Would a John Deere Dealer know?

What motors will fit my 450C?

I am getting conflicting information on what motors will work in my 450C? It had a 4219DT in it. I have been told that any 4219 or 4239 will fit. If I get one out of an aircompressor, Will I have to change any major parts? Are there any other motors that will fit? Can I put a Turbo motor in this if ...

No, I used new rod bolts. MY only guess is one worked loose. I hope I can find a used runner or a cheaper rebuilt. 3K is a little steep, I hope I can do better than that.

450 C threw a rod

Today, my 450 C threw a rod and punch a hole in the crankcase. After inframe rebuilting approx 30 hrs ago, I don't know what happened. Looks like the rod bolts broke from what I can see. Anyways, anyone know of a good source for a rebuilt 4219 motor. What should I expect to pay? I really do not want...

Bound up tracks

The tracks on mt 450C are pretty bound up. It does not stop me from using it by some of the links just do not go back straight when they come around the pulleys. All the pins and sprokets are in great shape. Anyone know a good, preferably easy way to loosen them up.

IT is back together. I replace two fo four injectors becasue I broke them when I set the head down. One cylinder with an old injector is not firing all the time. I think I am going to get two more injectors.

PS Not a very hard job if you are mechanically inclined at all

Jag,
My hole was in #3. I replaced the other while I was at it. The inframe from Reliance was about $450 JFYI. I also replace two injector for about $40 each, and I think I am going to go ahead and replace the other two.

Got the pistons and cylinder liners out yesterday. The rear liner was a real PITA. The frame crossmember was in the was. THe local Reliance dealer, 2 hrs away, sent the wrong cylinder kit. All was good except the piston pins did not fit my connecting rods. To all who are doing rebuild, I recommend p...

I bought the kit for mine with 2 injectors for a little over 500 plus shipping. Before ordering any parts, I recommend pulling apart the engine. I got the wrong pistons and found that out after paying overnight saturday delivery. I will post pictures of the cylinder liners with erosion/hole if anyon...

Check the head gasket, but the problem with mine was a cylinder liner. I am starting the inmframe rebuild tomorrow. As for moving it, alot of the Landhoff (sp?) trailers have a winch on the front. That might work. PS. The machine shop I took the head to said that by examining the head gasket, he can...
