Re: 440 Crawler Radiator Support Removal Help Needed

If you are referring to the " peg " that is sticking out from the front engine mount they are pressed in. Drive them out from the inside out. Had to do one on my 440 due to the mounting bolt being broken.

Re: 450C Track Adjustment

Has to be a bad zerk fitting. They have a check ball in them to prevent what you are experiencing. Try another fitting.

Re: carb problem

You guessed wrong. I had put a new load jet in it. It was part of the carb kit that I bought from Lavoy. EVERY hole and orifice was thoroughly cleaned multiple times - there was not a speck of dirt in it. I had even ran the tip cleaner from my set of torches into every opening looking for anything t...

Re: carb problem

Believe me, I tried this same thing several times with my carb but could not find/fix the problem with it. Whatever was wrong with it will remain a mystery.

Re: carb problem

UPDATE - replaced the carb with a rebuilt and my dozer runs like a charm! Tried it out by pushing out a pine stump from a tree that had blown over from a storm this summer and it didn't hesitate one bit. I had even sprayed some paint on the machine to make it look pretty. :)

Re: carb problem

Update - rebuilt the carb installing all new parts from a carb kit but still have the same problem. If I ever figure this thing out I'll let everyone know. Leaning towards replacing the carb if I can find one. Wish me luck!

Lavoy, I sent you another P.M. I would like to purchase a kit for this carb to see if that will fix it.

Venturi can only go in one way - one end is larger than the other.

When my carb is all together the venture will not move, so I assume that it is sealing. I sent you a P.M.
