Quick question about my 450b

Hello all, putting my 450b back together after a long overhaul. I can't figure out what the "sending unit" is on the left side of the transmission with the two wire terminals? It is located on the housing where the reverser shifter goes into the transmission housing. Left side when your in the seat....

Thanks for your post JWB. I did end up cutting "2.5 inches off the tensioner pistons everything looks pretty good. yes I was thinking that they will be short if I put new rails on someday but it will last me a long time. My machine dosen't get many hours either. I bought it 10 years ago to clear my ...

Anyone remove a track chain link on a 450b?

Hey all, While putting my 450b under carriage back together I noticed my front idler wheels are only about a 1/2 inch from the end of the rail with a fair amount of slack still in the track. So I'm thinking I should remove a link from my track chain. I did it on one side just to see where things end...

450 tranny hoses On the right side of tranny: Front line runs on top- goes to bottom of cooler. Then, from top of cooler hose runs to outside of filter holder. Rear line “t’s” off case (back of t takes the steering cylinders return) and runs on bottom- runs to “t” for steering pump and on to center...

transmission oil cooling line ports

Hey all, just putting my 450b back together after a major tear down and I can't remember where my trany cooling lines go. my question is which port coming from the trany is the supply to the cooler and which is the return from the cooler? Thanks for any replies.
