I disconnected the brake linkage from the pedal. Now it steers correctly on both sides. Now to unseize the clutch pedal/brake pedal shaft ...

420c track question

My tracks are adjusted fully out to the max and the tracks are still pretty slack (right side more than left). Is it more cost effective to just go ahead and get new chains instead of overhauling 60 year old chains? Also, front idler shaft is very worn... I can shake the idler by hand and they move ...

Pulling the left lever does not move the clutch and brake pedal. Only when I pull the right lever.

Yes, when I depress the clutch pedal, the brake pedal moves with it. Must be seized together.

Ok...so why is the clutch pedal and brake pedal moving together together in a Depressed motion when I pull the right lever? Should the two pedals move separately from each other? Why are they moving at all when I pull the right lever?

Just brought home a 420c. Runs really good. It has a steering problem. Pulling the left lever all the way and the left track stops and the right keeps going and pulls it around. Pull the right lever back hard and it just comes to stop. Pull lightly on the right lever and she tries to slowly turn. I ...
