Re: Counter weight removal 350B

Thanks that helps. It looks like there are 2 bolts through the skid plate and up through the counter weight. Should be fun trying to put it back on.

Counter weight removal 350B

I have a 350B crawler/loader and have to pull one of the final drives. The counter weight/draw bar is in the way and I can't fine a procedure for removing it. Looks like two big bolts on the bottom facing up hold it. Would hate to get those lose while its sitting on a floor jack and then find I miss...

JD 350 loader parting out (link)

I ran across this ad on craigslist and though I would past them on. Its about a 2500 mile drive one way for me otherwise I would buy up whatever I could afford. The post is from north central Wisconsin. Couldn't get the link button to work so copy and past it. That is the safest way to do it anyways...

JD 350/450 4in1 bucket

This is a copy of my ad on craigslist. This 4in1 bucket was modified to fit a John Deere 350B track loader so it is wider than the stock 4in1 for a 350B. It was originally made for a John Deere 450 track loader. The mounting brackets were cut off and rewelded to fit the smaller JD 350 loader. It wor...

JD350 boom cylinder overhaul

The 350B boom cylinder on my JD 350B is puking oil at an unexceptional rate. The good news is that it is killing notorious weeds around my barn and sealing the deck of my equipment trailer but the bad news is I have to keep replenishing the hydraulic tank with costly fluid. First off I am a one man ...

Re: 350b brake band hanging up

Just a stab in the dark but did any oil, grease or water from rainfall get spilled on the brake band when it was being installed? Since asbestos was outlawed the replacement material has been pretty wimpy. I have had limited success with a Milwaukee remote camera checking the brake bands for ware an...

JD 350B boom locking bar

My JD 350B loader is missing the boom locking bar and i am not having any luck locating one. Looks pretty easy to fabricate but I would like the specs on it first. Planning on doing an in-frame engine over haul next winter and this a must have item.

Re: 350B shifting problem

I will try engaging the reverser and clutch first then look inside if needed. At times it goes in perfectly smooth and other times can't even force it in so hoping its operator error. The loader is parked in a remote area so anything other than removing a few covers will require moving it back to th...

350B shifting problem

I am having a hard time shifting into first gear on my 350B loader. Its feels almost like its been locked out and I am wondering if I am doing something wrong. Sometimes it goes right in, most of the time not. Hoping its a matter of grease or lube on the right linkage. It shifts easily through all o...

Re: JD 350b weights

Thanks for the good advice. I submitted one reply already but it didn't post so this may be a duplicate. I did find some numbers on the counter weights and the suggested weight is 800# and 9 to 12 hundred pounds for the bucket. I do load the loader as far forward as is safe on the trailer. I have pu...

JD 350b weights

I bought a nice JD 350B track loader. It has a modified 4in1 bucket off a JD450. Its wider, taller and much heaver than the stock bucket although the machine seems to handle it fine. My problem is that the total unit weight is too heavy to get up the road to my forestry property. My 1 ton 4x4 just s...
