What is a 2000 series JD ?

Did you change oil or just the filter? Possible fuel leaked into base and thinned oil?

I don’t think I would go there yet. If the injectors pulse fuel , the pump has to be putting enough pressure to at least cause blue smoke. I would be checking valve setting, and adjust all. I would check and adjust valves to begin with. 100 RPM doesn’t sound fast enough.

I don’t think inside a machine is the spot to go with a cheap aftermarket part. The cost of time etc to pull it back apart, after the cheap part you saved money on money on, fails again. Just saying.
