Re: 350 steering clutches
On another note.... belt is in serious need of changing, now I know that if the quick disconnect moves it’s not bad but it’s not. So...my question is is the fork connected solid to the hand lever? I have 1/2” forward/reverse motion play in hand lever but fork is not responding. Any advice helps brin...

Re: 350 steering clutches
Ok. Good to know. I got one track adjuster freed up. By pumping apart. After many searches I couldn’t find anyone describing what I’m experiencing. So I’m asking on the bottom side of adjuster is a round hole that the grease is coming out of. Is this the relief hole ? And is the grease exiting there...

Re: 350 steering clutches
Using the search function I was able find my own answer. Seems when the lever is freed you can change the belt relatively easily. Thanks John

Re: 350 steering clutches
Hey folks , so many of you have a great deal of difficulty with the lower bolt on these John Deere starters and it seems to be a problem on many of thier engines. In fact I have a 310D extenda- hoe and it to is a pina. My solution was to cut a slot in the stud. After bending a wrench to fit I only h...

Re: 350 steering clutches
So. This may sound stupid but I have to ask.. before I ask I am using a loader crawler operating manual. The winch doesn’t appear to have a pressure relief port, nor does the hydraulic tank cap... so that being said I’m assuming that both need one? I’m rate into the meat and potatoes as I put it bac...

Re: 350 steering clutches
Thanks, makes sense. Hoping to test drive by end of weekend. Does anyone know if the rear belly pan is supposed to be flat? Mine’s got a heck of an arch up presumably from driving over debri. If it is supposed to be flat towards the rear I’m gonna drive a much bigger machine over it and straighten i...

Re: Straight 350 clutch parts
I to had to find some of those parts and I was able to do so just by typing the part numbers in on e-bay. It’s always hit or miss so I check constantly for other parts for other machines. Sooner or later they will pop up

Re: 350 steering clutches
So just in case it helps someone else, I took an tan a 3/4-10 tap as far as it would go. Then I cut the taper off the tap essentially creating a bottoming tap, ran that in and cut a bolt to the full length of hole giving myself about a 1/8 inch of clearance for clamping pressure. And it held. On ano...

Re: Help issue with JD 350 B
I have dropped a quite a few belly pans... the easiest thing to do is have a fire extinguisher handy and torch off the bolts. I usually leave the easiest one to reach for last. Upon reassembly, weld bolts on top of new pan bolts and you no longer have to hold the top. The bolts holding the pans toge...
