Re: Jd350

All good stuff and I love the positive feedback on this site( makes me wish I’d kept the 350 loader crawler), learned how to push dirt around on that thing lol. I alive starting engine’s when it’s brutally cold. Really gives you an idea of engine condition lol. I actually have a D69u and 2 D68u’s. O...

Re: Jd350

It’s a reverser model. Good explanation on the isolater. That must be what the material is. Also sounds like a risk to drill. We got a fair amount out with vacuum and air but there’s still enough to cause a problem. Thanks for all the advice

Re: Jd350

We pulled the starter the first time it locked up to try and bar over the engine by the ring gear teeth. Wouldn’t turn over until it had been in heat for quite some time. And after it started turning over is when we took notice of the debris coming around with ring gear. Starter was rebuilt by a rep...

Re: Jd350

Thanks, I did remove starter and used shop vac/compressed air to clean out as much as I could but still a lot in there. I does have a weep hole with cotter key in it. I guess bore scope is probably safest bet. Thanks again.

Hi folks, last year I did some work on a jd350 dozer. Thanks to all of you and Levoy it was a great success. Fast forward into winter and the engine is experiencing a locked up condition when ever temperatures are low. After lost of Trouble shooting, turns out that debris in the flywheel/ring gear c...

Re: 350 steering clutches

Does anyone have any thoughts on the use of this braided return hose for use with the reverser cooler lines? Thanks John

Re: 350 steering clutches

I purchased return hose. Eaton weatherhead 24 bar (350 psi). 1/2” in diameter. It was the closest replacement I could find with nylon braiding like the original. The wall is slightly thinner but based on my research is an acceptable replacement for original. John

Re: 350 steering clutches

He fellas. Tomorrow I’m getting hoses made up and bringing in some tired reverser cooling hoses.. does anyone have a recommendation or exact size they use for the cooler lines? Also I’m eliminating the auxiliary hydraulic hoses since the machine has a winch and currently not planning on adding a til...

Re: 350 steering clutches

He fellas, so I got the fork and shaft all out and after a lot of persuasion I was able to disassemble all the pieces to the hydraulic drive assembly. I was hoping someone could give the part number for the coupler that is directly in front of the pump? It holds the pump shaft and the shaft that the...

Re: 350 steering clutches

So I got the shaft free and spinning and now (with a lot of shields and heat) I have the fork spinning on the shaft and am trying to figure out a way to hold the shaft and slide the fork. Difficult because the side opposite the handle is blind and I haven’t quite got the shaft out of the blind hole....

Re: 350 steering clutches

Thanks Jim. A lot of times I’m just trying to connect with other people with similar interests. I have the manuals, actually I still have the manual to my dt125 from when I was 9( it was a dinasaur even then lol). Anyhow I’ve never been really electrically savy but after looking at my manuals I see ...

Re: 350 steering clutches

I believe this is a question for the 350 experts... the hour meter has a ground and a purple wire coming out. It is broken 1’ away from meter. There’s a purple wire of the same gauge coming out of the main instrument cluster harness. Is this the wire I have to connect to power up the meter? Thanks J...
