2-53 Detroit
I am selling my 2-53 detroit for my 1960 440 crawler. Engine was fully rebuilt. New pistons, liners, injectors, remaned crank, cylinder head, and blower. Block was hot tanked and magnafluxed. Comes with machined flywheel with new starter ring and new clutch. Asking $2500 or best offer. Located in MA.

2010c Engine Swap
Has anyone ever swapped a different engine into a 2010c dozer that had a OE 165 diesel? I was curious about a 300 series out of a later 450, something direct injected

Oh wow that makes sense! I see the spot on the i take where the tube is missing. I figured it went back to a fuel line, would have never guessed the intake! Thanks for all the info, very much appreciated

Ordered new pre chamber o rings from deere, should be seeing them on monday! I also scored a new old stock fuel hand primer for up on the instrument panal. Upon further inspection, i have found that its not the bolts leaking and is actually the pre chambers leaking coolant around them. I should have know in the first place! Now i guess i will be resealing them

Does anyone know why there would be coolant leaking from the bolts on the pre chambers? I looked through the engine manual and couldnt really find any info on it

Valve train all checks out ok. I pulled the pump and I’m gonna send it to a pump shop i have used many times, good reputable place! Another thing I noticed is that there seems to be coolant leaking from the bolts that hold the pre chambers into the head. Is there normally coolant behind those? Is a ...

Yeah i think i will definitely check the valves next. Ran out of time tonight! And yes no fuel coming out of the injectors. Possibly air bound, i had to get a new fuel primer. The one one it was broken

So little update! Glowplugs work perfectly. I replaced the fuel line on the return side of the injection pump. Heated intake with torch and still nothing. So i pulled the injectors to check them out and for test purposes, i flipped the injector over and hooked it back up to see how the fuel spray wa...

Yeah i was thinking of pulling the valve cover. It has a new head on it, so who knows what has been done to it
