Re: Looking to purchase a 450c and sell 555a
Make sure it is a C. A c has wet steering clutches which normally do not need to be done. A b has dry steering clutches which need to be replaced more often.

Re: Dry steering clutch idea
Found the old post I was thinking of. The person who answered me stated " he used to tie back the levers but then it seemed a spring gave way on the one side so he stopped doing it" Not sure what he meant by a spring giving way but he felt it did some damage to his machine. Just passing on the info ...

Re: Dry steering clutch idea
I Had asked this question a while back and if I remember correct someone had replied that this was not a good idea because it puts pressure on the clutches and weakens them. You could probably search the site and find more info on this question

Re: Anyone put a snow blower on a 350b ?
I think the other problem you would have is the oil getting too hot. I do not think that machine has a hydraulic oil cooler like most skid steers. My JD skid steer has a oil cooler as big but not as think as the radiator and I was suprised how warm the auxiliary lines get just from using a grapple.

Re: oil leak---HELP
Indian shellac is a permatec product that is alcohol based. It has been around for a long time. Before silicone I think. I like to use it as a gasket adhesive because it is sticky and holds the gasket in place. Also the gasket will not slide when you are tightening down like with silicone.

Re: JD 450E fuel trouble
Best thing to do is follow the lines from the tank to the pump to the injector and making sure you have fuel at each point. I ran my case backhoe dry by accident and I had a heck of a time priming it. I just kept opening a line and hand priming it until fuel came out. Then went on to the next fittin...

Re: john deere 455e reverser operation
Thanks, this machine will start in gear. I was thinking it might be a neutral safety switch that is bad. If I buy the machine I will have to check out the linkage.

john deere 455e reverser operation
Hello all, I was looking at buying a 455e track loader and had a question on operation. If I buy the machine I will get the owners manual and read up on proper operation but before I do that. I know it has a clutch which from what I have read is for changing gears 1-4. I know you can shift hi-lo- to...
