I may try to find a canister to replace , and also look at remote adaptor with screw on filter.

It is a cartridge type that looks like cork or gasket material for lack of better description.

When I split my track for a final rebuild , we put the master link at like one oclock on sprocket
and I cut a piece of 2" black pipe had laying around it fit over master link boss and wedged against final housing .
Pin fell out with a couple smacks

Jim B ....that was the culpret . Brand new gauge leaking at fitting . Discovered another leak dripping down front of oil pan , turned out the lower governor housing bolt seeping oil ?? Well oil pan had a couple minor divots at mounting holes , straightened them as best as i could then resealed with new gasket. Also resealed water pump back cover with new gasket, hopefully all is good . So after moving the power steering pump around encountered a leak at the hose .....parts tractor...

Just checked oil level and appears to be well below the pan line .
Just pulled plug and let her drain for a new gasket and pan inspection .
