i think i have narrowed it down to a sticky spool in the back or the valve. dose any on have a good used four way used valve for sale. thanks Bob

i found out why my blade would not work, there is a hole in the front cover. im looking for a good used one if i can find one . any help would be appreciated such as a way to fix it or know of a good used one. i want to thank you you guys for your input , it helps me a lot. thanks Bob

i have a john/deer 420c that i have been working on, motor is running now but the blade wont lift. i have oil up to the line on the dip stick but nothing works. is the pump bad, or is there a screen or filter plunged. has been setting for years, don't know how meany. thanks Bob in chilloquin or

i ordered a head for a jd 420c from all states and they told me they had a used one but i would have to lap the valves . this is a bare head, and when it arrived it had one hole good, the other one pits in the seats. i could lap this thing all day and it wont be any good. i payed 400.00 en clouding ...

i have a 420 c with a bad head, and i found a mc wheel tractor i can take the head off . well mc head fit on the 420c motor. if not i need a head for my 420c thanks bob chiloquin.

motor is turning . compression is 40 and 60. i will heat it up get it higher. i have fire at the distributor, but wiring needs to be changed out. i think i will fill the well with kerosene and let very thing soak for a bit. thanks for your help Bob chiloquin or

hi there. i bought a john/deer 420c with a stuck motor and stuck final drive. i got the motor free, and im working on the final drive. im not sure where its stuck. when i loaded it on my trailer the tracks would not turn . the right turn lever is stuck. wont move. the left turn lever works fine but ...

i might take a spark plug and knock the insulator off, weld a washer on ,thread it for a zerk fitting and hydraulic the piston down. once it moves i can get it to roll over.

i would like to save the pistons.

what is the best way get a jd 40 motor unstuck. also tractor will not roll. put blaster every where i can think . it is a jd 40 i think, has 5 rollers. i take it back.model is 420 c serial 93177thanks Bob
