1010 fluids/grease
Am close to firing off my gas 1010 after a undercarriage/clutch rebuild. It appears that JD cornhead grease is the preferred lubricate for the rollers and idlers so this it what I intend to use. Any objections? I do not have the JD grease gun which the manual references. Is there a substitute or do ...

Installing 1010 master link pin
I have got a pin all but 5/16" or so in place in the link. Heres my issue. The flats on the pin are not exactly lined up with the flats on the link. Have tried to turn the pin. No such luck. Any body got any ideas? Your help will be greatly appreciated! Mark

The materials I used for the tool were 2" angle and 5/8" all thread. Split the angle with a port-a band then heat formed it around a piece of 1 1'4" pipe to make the hooks. Welded a tab on one hook and the 5/8" all thread to the other. Used 8 1/2" inches of all thread and it was just enough to get i...

Button head question 2
Thanks for all the advice with my previous grease fitting question. I will use the button head fittings as called for by the parts manual. Todays question is concerning the button head grease gun fitting. I have noticed that the button head fitting I purchased from the local JD dealer is to large to...

Button head grease fittings
I am actually getting close enough with my rebuild to start thinking about the smaller assembly issues. Most of the grease fittings on the track assemblies are currently button head. Not sure yet if they will take grease so I am going to have a supply of replacement fittings on hand. I am wondering ...

While watching the video I was able to determine that it had silage in it. Went over way to hard for an empty one. Saw one that the unloader had been removing product from only one side. Not good. the weight above(as they unload from the bottom) supported on one side with silage and not on the other...
