my original post from 2005 has come full circle. i'm now rebuilding a 440, i want to put in the semi metallic fiber discs, i'm looking for a part number if anyone has one or knows of a supplier.

For sale is a John Deere brand Dozer blade (inside arms), power up and down, manual tilt and angle. skin and edge on blade are in good condition. I was going to pick up a watering trough from the feed store that I could put the tracks in (one at a time). I thought that if they were in the water already, using the battery charger would speed up the process.

I guess it couldnt hurt to give it a try.

I have a 440 that has been sitting for about 7 years, before it was parked it rolled freely. now the tracks are frozen. 420C track wear question

I have 2 420 5 rollers, one of them the tracks have no tilting (left to right up and down movement) the other one has a lot of movement, 3+ inches, very noticeable when stepping on the tracks to get on the tractor.

is the tilting a sign of worn out tracks?
