Re: 350c thrown track
I guess a loose bolt would allow the grease to release- but when dealing with a stuck stiff cylinder I wanted 0 restrictions as I was already fighting a losing battle-
Good to know for future tho-
BB comes in a couple days so hopefully that solves it

350c thrown track
So I threw the other track now. I was able to pump some grease in the adjuster to extend it some and break the stuck piston and then collapse the tensioner piston. Then it took me a couple days to get the track back on the sprocket- I then put the zero fitting and bolt in and went to pump the piston...

Re: 350c thrown track
I couldn’t find or figure out the master link on the track so I fought the whole track. I was able to use come along and chain which ratcheting binders- after 3 hours (trial and error and first time) lots of blood and 2 broken fingers (track weight was too much for the first comealong)- the track wa...

Re: 350c thrown track
Mine is a loader so I can’t use the blade to push back I was able to take track off all way and block loader up off the ground- I then wrapped a chain around sprocket hub and front idler and used a chain binder to force the piston in some- it moved in! I put tension on the chain and then “bumped”the...

Re: 350c thrown track
So I was able to add grease and have it extend a little and then retract with force back to where it was ……..
I have it off the rail and vertical so I could have the tube upright and soak it with penetrating fluid to see if that helps……
And there wasn’t a bb below the bolt to hold in greese

Re: 350c thrown track
ok-
so take the bolt out (look for small check ball) and brute force slides the idler back- i guess i was thinking that the idler would come back easier......
i will try the block and jack-

350c thrown track
So when it rains it pours…….
I threw the driver side track today. I loosened the jamb nut and took the bolt all the way out and tried pushing the front idler back to loosen the tension but the idler wouldn’t move back.
Did I do something wrong?
How do you reset the track?

Re: 350c running warm
So I only had a min or 3 to look at machine so far but I did add a gallon and a half of fluid to the radiator-
machine has sat for a couple days and I checked it without starting and added-
will check gauge next but low on fluid doesn’t help
Will let it run next and check temps

350c running warm
Ran the machine for 15 min full throttle in 90* weather and when shut down it hissed and steamed a bit- damn gauge said 100* so that isn’t working……
I will check coolant level next time but I don’t know status of fluid
Anything else to check?
Troubleshoot the gauge?
